Amerie is a 26 year old singer, songwriter, producer and actress based in New York. Born to a Korean mother and an African-American father, Amerie is not only beautiful but multi-talented to boot. She released her debut album back in 2002 and then took a 2 year break to pursue her career in acting, starring in a film called ‘First Daughter' with Katie Holmes and Michael Keaton. Her sophomore album ‘Touch' sold over ½ million copies in the US and went Top 5 on the Billboard charts. This album also spawned the massive hit ‘1 Thing' which was an airplay and chart hit worldwide. 'Take Control' the first single from her new album ‘Because I Love It' was produced by Amerie and Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley fame. It oozes, attitude, confidence and originality and there's nothing quite like it around at the moment.
