Synopsis
The author attempts to explain the mystery about this Kente cloth which originates from Ghana, West Africa. He details the meaning of the numerous patterns, how they originated, how the names for the patterns were chosen and most of all how this cloth of many colors has come to galvanized African Americans and Americans in general with Africa.
A little "treat" at the end of the book explains names chosen in Ghana by some of the tribes.
